Palafrugell is the new preferential venue of the international youth tournament MIC-Mediterranean International Cup in its 12th edition. The town of the Baix Empordà (Girona) will host the international day of football that will be on Thursday 5th of April. Furthermore, the village of Vidreres is also incorporated as a new official venue, so the tournament will have now 19 venues divided in 22 different football fields.nn“Year after year the MIC is still growing and we continue breaking records” said the director of the tournament Juanjo Rovira, that he has remarked that in the next edition “is still growing the number of the participating team, that this year will be about 220, and this compels us to seek new venues to play the matches”.nnPalafrugell will premiere at the MIC as new preferential venue and it will host matches in fry category. Furthermore, on Thursday 5th of April it will host the international day of football that captures the essence of the tournament: link in the same field modest football teams with others more recognized as for example FC Barcelona or the Brazilian National Team, which have participated in the international day many years ago. This international day is very representative inside the MIC, as a lot of media are following these matches. Also it has a lot of scouters who are looking for new football players for their teams. So Palafrugell will vibrate with the youth football on Thursday 5th of April and the media attention will be focused in its town.nnOn the other hand, the village of Vidreres (La Selva) will host the matches in cadet category. nnFurthermore Palafrugell and Vidreres, the other towns that will host MIC matches will be Lloret de Mar, Tossa de Mar, Palamós, Sant Feliu de Guíxols, Santa Coloma de Farners, Hostalric, Cassà de la Selva, Platja d’Aro, Sils, Mont-ras, Santa Cristina d’Aro, Begur, Torroella de Montgrí – L’Estartit, L’Escala, Llagostera, Calonge and La Bisbal d’Empordà.
