The 14th edition of the International Youth Tournament MIC – Mediterranean International Cup will maintain the strong international component of the competition. Prestigious teams such as FC Barcelona, Real Madrid CF, Manchester United, Ajax of Amsterdam, RCD Espanyol, FC Porto, Liverpool FC, FC Internazionale Milano and the national selections of Brazil and Qatar among others have already confirmed their participation in the tournament, which will take place from the 15th to the 20th of April around different towns of the Costa Brava.nThe organization of the tournament is working on the next edition of MIC in which it is expected to count with the participation of more than 200 teams from around the world. Last year, 36 nationalities were represented in the tournament. Comparing to the previous edition, a new feature included is the participation of teams coming from Dubai (Al Ahli), Denmark (Hërfolge BK), Egypt (Stryx Sport), French West Indies (Guadeloupe). nThese teams will compete against other prestigious ones which will also be in the 14th Edition of MIC and humble Catalan teams as well as teams from all around the state. This will be again the essence of MIC: uniting in the same field humble teams with others which are more recognized.nThe 14th edition of MIC will be held for the classes U-12 for F-7 and F-11, U-14, U-16, U-18 and MIC Integra which was incorporated last year and it is aimed for people with disabilities. nIn the last edition, during the tournament about 600 football matches were played. MIC had more than 5.000 accredited participants and more than 200.000 viewers watched the live matches. nFootball players which currently focus the international football scene have passed through previous MIC editions. This is the case of Leo Messi, Neymar Jr, Gerard Piqué, Cesc Fàbregas, Sergi Busquets, Marc Bartra, Sergi Roberto and Jordi Alba, of FC Barcelona; Marcelo Vieira, of Real Madrid FC; Lucas Leiva, of Liverpool FC; Víctor Álvarez, of RCD Espanyol; Lucas Moura, of Paris Saint Germain; Juan Mata, who recently joined Manchester United and Adryan Tavares, who joined Italian Cagliari. nCosta Brava, 3 th of February of 2014
